How did you guys meet and where?

We met at a dance class during covid period!

What do you love most about your partner?

He has a listening heart and will always take time to talk about things that matter.

How long have you guys been together?

5 years :)

What was your first impression of each other?

We communicated mostly with our eyes! Since it was covid and we had to wear masks even while dancing. I think my very first impression of him was that he had pretty eyes.

How did your partner propose? Share with us your proposal story!

Darren proposed to me at Shiroi Kobito Park, Hokkaido. It was such a romantic place, the factory of the famous Japanese chocolate cookies and now a part of our love story. He was absolutely a nerve-wreck though! He was so nervous that he rejected my offer to bring him desserts and that really gave him away.

What’s a funny or sweet story from your relationship that your wedding guests might not know about?

When he decided to ask me to be his girlfriend, it was Christmas Day. When he finally finished his question, it was Boxing Day.

What’s one thing you guys always agree on / disagree on?

We’ll always agree on impromptu travel plans.
We’ll always disagree on whose fault it was that caused us to lose our game!

How did you decide on your wedding date and venue? What was your wedding theme and what was your inspiration behind it?

Our wedding date had to be on a Saturday as Pastors are not free on Sundays to officiate. We also wanted at least a year in advance to make preparations for it. It’s true that the wife always has the last say on the theme haha! It helps that my husband was okay with anything, as long as it did not involve him wearing a bikini really.

I have always loved vintage, European and Victorian, basically English-themed decoration and style. Watching Bridgerton before the wedding has really magnified that! And thus, I have decided to have a Victorian theme for my wedding.

What was your wedding day like? Were there any unexpected surprises throughout the journey? How did you solve them, tell us more about it!

It is absolutely true to say that the wedding day passes in a flash. It felt like the biggest project of my life, all my Excel sheets and countless WhatsApp group chats are all coming down to one final moment.

It was a time crunch because one of my wedding gowns had a malfunction issue (not Bone and Grey’s gown obviously!) and the stylist took some time to fix it, which caused us to be late for the programs afterward.

Due to the lack of time, I had to wear my tea ceremony jewelry for the first march in, which was something I did not prefer. Although not taking them out helped us to be on time again 🙂

What made you choose our Bone & Grey gown for your Pre-Wedding Photoshoot and what did you like the most about it?

I chose the Ida Gown because it's so perfect and it’s so Victorian but not too much. It is Victorian but chic. I love how the off-shoulder detail and how the shape of the gown accentuate my waist.

Was there a special way of styling your B&G gown and why?

I needed a gown that says ‘I AM GETTING MARRIED’ enough but is also light and allows me to go on a skateboard for my pre-wedding shoot! I styled it with a simple white pearl necklace for a more vintage feel.

What was the most memorable part of your photoshoot that you love up till today?

The most memorable part of the pre-wedding shoot was really getting on the skateboard, hand in hand with my now husband. I loved that I took a chance and went for a more storytelling pre-wedding shoot than just a formal one.
