How did you decide on your wedding date and venue?  

We knew we wanted to have our wedding at Min Jiang (MJ) really early on because:

1) We wanted a small wedding for our close family and friends only
2) Food needs to be good
3) Decoration / vibe / aesthetics needs to be nice
... and Min Jiang hit all 3 points! 

What was your wedding day like? 

The wedding day was great! Seamless, smooth, fun, and chill. Everything went according to plan, and on time. We wanted the wedding to be chill and for us to be able to really spend more time with our guests, which we did! Pulled it off thanks to our wonderful bridal party who made sure everything was in order.  

What made you choose a Bone & Grey bridal gown and what did you like the most about it?

Style, Price, and Company.

I wanted something simple and elegant - something that B&G specialises in so I knew that since this was their style, I knew I was going to find something I like, and I did!! I refuse to spend over 1.2K for a dress that I’ll only wear for a few hours. So knowing that my custom sized gown with B&G was 1K was amazing and I'm so glad that I didn’t go with traditional bridal studios that cost way more!

I work at a small start up and I know how hard it is to start your own business. I love everything that B&G stands for - affordable gowns and minimalist designs. Joy was wonderful from the beginning and I felt so supported during my dress hunting journey. It was a no-brainer to get a dress from her! I also love the Forever More service that B&G has - I'm excited to bring it back to Joy and have her make it into a dress that I can wear out again for other occasions/events! Upcycling is the best!

How did your friends and family react when they first saw you in your wedding gown?

I received so many compliments on the dress! They were gushing over how beautiful the dress was, asked where I got it from, and I was very happy to share that it’s from B&G, at such an affordable price compared to traditional bridal studios. 

What did you like most about your wedding day look?  

I loved the look of my Julia gown - elegant, sleek but not plain. The back of the dress took the cake. And most importantly, it felt like me. My kind of style.

Joy also recommended to pair it with a long tulle veil and I think it was the best choice. The gown and veil together was a piece of art.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding that you love up till today?

No one moment. Seeing everyone we love come celebrate this day with us.
